The first information on the transportation of Romanian varieties of russian BM-21 to Ukraine appeared in [May last year](https://defence24.pl/war-on-Ukraine-report-special-defence24/rumunska-variety-grada-na-ukrainie). Its transportation in an unspecified number is likely to be the work of the maker itself in the form of Romania, which is presently in the process of receiving much more modern M142 HIMARS systems, and is considering the acquisition of [south Korean K239 Chunmoo](https://defence24.pl/strong-armoured/Romania- jak-polska-in-issue-missile artillery-himars-i-chunmoo). The Romanian army was to have 135 copies of the APR-40 mentioned, so the transfer of 20-30 copies to 54 M142 purchased seems very likely. In case of buying K239 it would most likely be possible to supply more vehicles. Handed over launchers came to the equipment of the 37th Marine Infantry Brigade and the 118th Self-Mechanized Brigade.
