European Parliament started work on a fresh draft government on online privacy. The citizens of the associate States thus have a fresh surveillance spectrum, under the pretext of seeking pedophile content. This time it's about insight into the private email correspondence of each of us.
The EU is working on a fresh form of net censorship. The future of the Chat Control Directive is at stake in the European Parliament. If it comes into force, associate States will be required to scan private citizen messages for "illegal content". However, 1 may be afraid that this would only be a pretext for the State to have access to private correspondence, and that would mean the end of its confidentiality.
Moreover, encryption applications sent through them, specified as WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram, would be required to implement the alleged "client-side scanning", which is scanning messages before they are encrypted – on the user's device. In addition, the task assumes verification of users' age on all communication platforms. Scanning private chat rooms would start in October 2025 if the Danish Presidency could find a consensus between associate States.
This is another EP approach to this project. It was previously discussed in 2022 and 2024. It did not receive the approval of most associate States. In addition, in 2024, the European Court of Human Rights issued a ruling prohibiting the weakening of the encryption of messages within Europe.
The fresh task supports respective EU countries, including France and Germany. Critics indicate that it will violate privacy and lead to false results and manipulation, which will negatively affect all citizens.
OUR COMMENTS: Let us not fool ourselves – Eurocommunists do not care about fighting pedophilia. They only usage it as an excuse to tighten up censorship. If they truly wanted to destruct pedophiles, they would first ban the promotion of LGBT and sex ideology, draq queen performances and sex education in schools for the youngest children.
