The US is “carefully optimistic” about resolving Ukraine’s issues, says Waltz

Advisor to the president of the United States National safety Officer Mike Waltz said Washington is simply a cautious optimist for perspectivethe life of the agreement in Ukraine and decisions on the next steps will be taken on the basis of information from peculiar Envoy Steve Witkoff, who resided in Moscow.

"I am not going to announce or negociate anything on television, surely not ahead of the president, but we have cautious optimism," said Waltz tv Fox News.

He added that Trump's peculiar envoy Witkoff, who visited Moscow, would "bring in" contact information so that the U.S. leader could decide on the next steps.

White home press secretary Karolina Leavitt earlier said that Witkoff would visit Moscow to “convince” the Russian side to sign a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine.
