One of the most interesting personalities of the period of early systemic transformation, Stanisław Tymiński, returns to Polish politics. A politician who, 3 decades ago, challenged the post-solidarity challenge of the "elite" will search the mandate of the Polish Senator in territory 71 (Bytom and Zabrze). Tymiński is simply a candidate from the list of KW of the Slavic Union. As established by Think Polska, the staff has just finished collecting signatures and will proceed to registration of the candidate at the first possible time.
Stanisław Tyminski was born on 27 January 1948 in Pruszków. By education, he's an electronics technician. He graduated from the Marcin Kasprzak Electronic and Mechanical Technology in Warsaw, at the erstwhile M. Kasprzak Radio Plant. He later began working at the Electron measurement Instruments Production Plant “ELPO” in Warsaw.
In 1969, he emigrated to Sweden. In the same year, he emigrated to Canada, where he founded a Transduction computer company in 1975.
Stanisław Tymiński submitted his candidacy in the 1990 presidential elections in Poland. Initially ignored by politicians and the media, after an intense and modern electoral campaign, he scored a second consequence in the first circular by scoring 3,797,605 voters' votes (23,1%). Thus, he overtook the favored Tadeusz Mazowiecki and Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz and entered the second circular of elections with Lech Wałęsa.
Tymiński appeared to Poles as a man outside the system, the only alternate to quarreling national politicians. He besides excelled programically. He protested the direction of economical transformation by undermining the then "economic reforms".
During the election run Tyminski was the victim of organized wave of slanders, besides from the state apparatus. At the time, the head of the UOP and Home Secretary Krzysztof Kozłowski accused him of having a connection with Libya (a country seen as terrorist) and Colombia (where the influence of drug traffickers was strong). These accusations proved entirely false. Just before the end of the election campaign, tv Polska stated that he was utilizing force against his wife – after the election, tv lost the final hearing.
In the face of the unprecedented wave of slanders, Tyminski lost his rivalry with Lech Wałęsa, gaining 3,683,098 votes (25.75%) in the second round. After defeat in the election, he founded organization X, which did not accomplish crucial successes.
Stanisław Tyminski was married 3 times. His first wife was Finka Pulmu, the second Peruvian player Myrna Graciela, whom we met at the 1990 election, the 3rd Chinese Mulan. He has 4 children of his own: Henry (from his first marriage), Alicia, George, Isis (from his second marriage). He raises Cindy's adopted daughter whose parent is his 3rd wife.
