WEEK IN THE ‘POLISH REPORT’ CLUBS – 28.05.2025 NO for illegal immigration!

In fresh weeks a series of manifestations organized by the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs and the Border Defence Movement took place in Poland. The events took place in an atmosphere of strong opposition to the increasing migratory force and policies which their participants specify as threatening national sovereignty and the safety of citizens.

The protests covered many cities – from the capital, through Piotrków Trybunalski, to Kraków – and gathered thousands of participants. Their common motto was "NOT for illegal immigration".

WARSAW| It all started in Warsaw, at the Dmowski Roundabout, where crowds of people gathered to participate in the March Against Immigration organized by Robert Bąkiewicz, the Border Defence Movement. From there the participants moved towards the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, where the final of the manifestation was planned. Despite the unfavourable weather, attendance has added – thousands of people from all over the country marched together, expressing their concerns and demands. Representatives of the “Polish Newspapers” Clubs from various regions of Poland became very many – many of them carried club banners. The banners read slogans specified as: “Here is Poland”, “NO for forced relocation” or “Defending Borders – the work of the State”. Robert Bąkiewicz, leader of the Border Defence Movement, who spoke during the event, stressed the importance of joint action: We're getting stronger. We will be the second Solidarity and halt mass illegal migration to Poland.

THE COURT OF AUDITORS In the same spirit, the “Piotrkowski March against illegal immigration” was besides organized, which passed down Piotrków Trybunalski Streets. The organizers of the event were the “Polish Gazeta” Club in Piotrków Trybunalski and the Border Defence Movement. The march was headed by Beata Drędź – the president of the local club “GP”, which stressed the importance of unity in defence of Polish interests. About 500 people attended the demonstration. Members of Parliament – Anna Milchanowska and Janusz Kowalski – as well as renowned activists, including Oskar Szafarowicz, Adam Borowski and Oskar Kida, were besides present. Participants carried banners with the slogans "STOP illegal migration" or "I want to feel safe in my own country", expressing their opposition to migration force and calling for national identity protection.

COUNTRY| besides in Krakow, in Matejka Square, there was a demonstration under the motto against “the liquidation of the Polish state” and protest against illegal immigration. The event brought together residents of the city and social and political activists, including: Ryszard Majdzik, Barbara Nowak, Marek Michno, Kraków's “Gazety Polska” club and the Inter-founded Organization of the Małopolska Region “Solidarity”. The speeches contained strong words about the request to defend the national state, about threats to Polish culture and safety and about the request to argue the EU's migration policy. The assembly was chaired by Ryszard Majdzik and was besides chaired by Marek Michno and Barbara Nowak.

A series of protests have shown that the subject of illegal immigration is simply a origin of large emotion among citizens and is mobilising different social environments. The organizers are already announcing further events. For many participants, it was not only a march – it was an expression of concern for the future of the country and an appeal for liable migration policy.

AMERICA| Tadeusz Antoniak, president of the “Gazeta Polska” Club in Philadelphia and coordinator of the “Gazeta Polska” clubs of the United States was elected for the second time as Chief of the Association of Polish Army Veterans in America. Congratulations!

GLYVICE| On the 90th anniversary of the death of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, members of the “Gazeta Polska” Club in Gliwice, together with the Rifles of the Republic of Poland, paid tribute and gave flowers at the monument of the Chief Leader. At the same time in Krakow, under the monument of Józef Piłsudski there, the instructor, the gunman's Ensign, Lieutenant Tomasz Kolanowski lit the gun. This symbolic motion was an expression of worship given in a peculiar place, which for all Poles remains a space of national memory. After the ceremony, club owner Olaf Pest presented the short biography of Marshal – the creator of independent Poland after 123 years of partitions and winners of the war with Bolshevik Russia in 1920. Marshal Józef Piłsudski is the patron of the “Gazeta Polska” Club in Gliwice – that is why the memory of his merits is treated as a commitment to his homeland and a origin of constant inspiration. "To be overcome and not to fall—this is victory, to win and to remainder on the laurels—this is defeat," said Józef Piłsudski.

OLSTIN| Warmia-Masurian Region NSZZ "Solidarity" organized a pilgrimage to the Warmia Calvary – an event of exceptional spiritual importance. At the invitation of Solidarity, the delegation of the “Polish Newspapers” Club in Olsztyn had the honour of attending this unique meeting, an chance to reflect and pray together.

Long| In the church of St. Michael the Archangel in Długołęka there was a solemn Mass commemorating the 368th anniversary of the martyr's death of St. Andrew Bobola – patron of Poland. The liturgy was preceded by exceptional lectures on the life and spiritual heritage of the saint. At the invitation of the “Gazeta Polska” Club in Długołęka, the lectures were given by Polish Senator Czesław Ryszka – author of the book “Andrzej Bobola. Advocate of Poland” – and Fr Prof. Norbert Jerzak, lecturer at the Pontifical Theological Department in Wrocław. After part of the authoritative part, participants of the event had the chance to talk to speakers and spend time together over coffee, tea and excellent home cooking prepared by the local club “GP”.

PABIANICS| On the 90th anniversary of the death of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, members of the “Polish Gazeta” Club in Pabianice attended Mass celebrated in his intention in the church of St. After the Eucharist, the club's delegation paid tribute to the Marshal, laying down a bundle of flowers and lighting candles under a memorial plaque placed on the temple wall. The celebration was an expression of gratitude and remembrance of 1 of the top heroes of Polish independence.

CLUBSThe “Polish Newspapers” Club in Łuków celebrated the 105th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyla – St. John Paul II and the 81st anniversary of the conflict of Monte Cassino, laying out commemorative bundles of flowers and lighting symbolic candles. This motion was an expression of respect and memory for those who shaped our identity and fought for the freedom of their homeland. A peculiarly touching minute of celebration was the joint singing of the song "Red Maki on Monte Cassino" in the archaic city park. This song, full of emotion and historical significance, recalled the memory of the dedication and heroism of soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps. In silence and focus, tribute was paid to the fallen – those who did not return from battles for free Poland. Sincere thanks to the club is directed to all the Łukasz socialists, in peculiar to Mr Andrzej Zdrojewski, for organising the event and for constantly cultivating the memory of the key moments of our history.

NEW TARGE In Nowy Targ the Holy Mass was held in the intention of the homeland, celebrated in the church of St. After the liturgy there was a gathering of the “Gazeta Polska” Club in Nowy Targ, during which key topics for Poland were discussed, in peculiar in the context of the upcoming presidential elections. The discussion focused on the issues of patriotism and the contemporary challenges of maintaining and strengthening the independency of our homeland. Members of the club as well as invited guest – associate of the Polish Parliament Anna Paluch, who shared her reflections and experience of parliamentary work. The ceremony was celebrated by the presence of the banner post of the Newtar Solidarity. The gathering brought together many people afraid about the future of Poland – people who are close to national values, civic work and the spirit of the community.

SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) In St. Vincent's church in Ashfield (Sydney) the Holy Mass was celebrated for the soldiers of General Władysław Anders, who fought in 1 of the most crucial battles of planet War II – at Monte Cassino. The event was organized by the “Polish Newspapers” Club in Sydney. Soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps fought for the freedom of all, but many of them never saw the free homeland. They died on Italian dirt or were forced to stay on emigration – distant from Poland, for which they fought with specified determination. In prayer and in awe, those who offered the highest sacrifice were honored. Both the dead and those who remained in the wilderness were remembered—the witnesses of stories whose destiny was forever marked by a war trail. Hello and glory to the Heroes!
