The head of the government linked the deficiency of supervisory rules on the crypto-activism marketplace to the diversion threat and the financing by the Russian Federation of acts of sabotage in Europe and Poland, recalling the fresh fires at the WB Group in Skarżysko-Kamienna and Lublin:
‘In the case of Skarżyży-Kamienna there is no uncertainty that there has been a deliberate arson, or act of sabotage. In the case of Lublin, we do not have specified evidence, but it cannot be excluded, given the nature of production, that there was besides deliberate arson there."
The Prime Minister called on the head of state to revise the current political stance before the Friday plenary session:
"I would like to emphasise again and again from this place I appeal to all parliamentarians and to president Nawrock on cryptocurrency and veto. On Friday, we have a chance to make a decision by which the law that regulates the cryptocurrency marketplace will enter into force. This chance is real. It depends on your vote and, I believe, on the position of the President."
"Please let everyone who has so far blocked this bill know that you have changed your mind, Mr President, due to the fact that you may not have predicted the grim consequences of this veto."
Funding mechanics for intelligence operations and past of presidential vetoes
According to the Head of Government, the deficiency of regulation allows entities associated with Russian services to freely transfer capital without state supervision:
"The deficiency of regulation, regulations, laws makes it possible to go completely unpunished in this marketplace without any control. And that's why Russia uses cryptocurrency as its main, almost the only mechanics for financing specified projects. That is why I again appeal to all liable for this situation: We gotta adopt this law on Friday besides to make it hard for Russia to act in the territory of our country, so as to make it hard to finance specified acts."
The conflict around the regulations has been going on for months. On 11 June 2026 president Karol Nawrocki for the 3rd time vetoed the government's crypto-activism regulation, justifying his earlier decisions on the hazard of overregulation of the sector and the danger of transferring national manufacture entities outside the Polish jurisdiction. Donald Tusk referred to the findings of the formations liable for state security:
