European leaders – including Donald Tusk, though in another railway car – appeared in Kiev last weekend with a loud message: we request Vladimir Putin to suspend his arms for 30 days. Otherwise, as they announced, sanctions are to be imposed on the Russian regime. The ultimatum deadline expired on Monday, May 12. Putin not only did not react, but continues to fire Ukraine.
