Tusk, asked at a press conference about the possible reconstruction of the government after the presidential election, stated that respective ministers were already expecting this. He announced that the draft amendment would be submitted after the election and would require the approval of the fresh president.
It'll be a strategy change. We will have not 1 of the largest governments in Europe, but 1 of the smallest governments in Europe as regards the structure of the government He said.
Tusk stressed that the reconstruction of the government would bring individual changes, but he does not want it to be treated as a punishment for ministers – they will simply be reduced.
Coalition split
Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski of the Left already informed about plans to reconstruct the government. Simon Holovnia expressed his surprise with an idea.
If there are to be any negotiations on this matter, I have not yet participated in them, so I do not know what cognition you have of Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski. I realize that if there are any decisions to be made about this, everyone will remember that this is simply a coalition government. – said the Marshal of the Sejm.
The planned changes were addressed on TVN24 by the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.
Everything that happens should be coalitionly agreed. The government is besides large in terms of the number of people, and I agree here and far not in my ministry, only there are ministries with a very large number of deputy ministers and perhaps, I don't want to point a finger here, but possibly it's worth looking at this mechanism. said Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.
The Minister besides referred to the activities of the Ministry headed by her. She stressed that the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy plays a key function in Polish improvement activities. She expressed the belief that regional policy would not be abolished in Poland.
