The heads of abroad and defence ministries signing the Mecca agreement, namely Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey, will meet on Monday in Istanbul," Reuters reported today, citing sources in the Turkish MFA. This will be the first gathering of this rank since the signing of the contract on 7 August.
Reuters wrote that the gathering would besides be attended by the heads of staff of 3 states. "International safety issues will be on the agenda," quoted the Agency's source.
According to Reuters, the main topics of the talks will be "related to the strengthening of defence capacity, expanding interoperability between the armies of 3 countries and deepening cooperation in the defence industry, including in the field of joint production and development".
