Participants of the National March of Life, which this year was held under the slogan "Here is Poland!", passed through the streets of Warsaw. In addition to celebrating the millennium of the Kingdom of Poland and the historical parade, they demanded respect for conventional values, including the protection of conceived life. - If it wasn't for Christianity, our nation, the country wouldn't look what it looks like today," they noted.
National March of Life began Masses in the intention the protection of life in: the basilica of the Archatedal Martyrdom of St John the Baptist and the basilica of St Michael the Archangel and St Florian the Martyr. After the national anthem, the participants of the march departed from Castle Square, walking the Royal way towards Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigłego Park. This year they went under the slogan "Here's Poland!".
President of Poland Andrzej Duda handed the white-red flag to the participants of the march - symbol of the Republic. "Expect it with pride and joy as a manifestation of Poland's self-sacrifice, expression of our convictions and respect for the highest values" - the president called for in a message to the participants. "Let it be a call to the love of our homelandwhich is expressed in regular service and attentiveness for the needs of another man. Let it proceed to inspire us to co-create a culture of trust, fact and good."
The "life defence" march. "God, Honor, Homeland"
During the march on the wind, they flew many white-red flags and flags with lily and cross. Participants carried banners with subtitles: "In the defence of life""Everybody has the right to live," "Only for the civilization of life," "Yes for life." "God, Honor, Homeland - the royal hub strain." Passwords chanted: "Poland is not Brussels, no 1 supports abortion", "May Poland live", or "Poland flourishing children".
During the march, the past of the midwife from Auschwitz - Stanisława Leszczyńska, who received over 3,000 births in the extermination camp, was recalled. It was reported that next to the Princess Anna Mazowiecka Hospital, where she obtained a diploma in the uprising on the social initiative of a memorial dedicated to her. It besides referred to an event in Oleśnica, where abortion was performed in the 36th week of pregnancy.
"As Poles, as citizens we want to express those values to which we are attached, that is, families in terms of husband, wife, children, life from conception to natural death, whatever it would be" - emphasized the organizers. As they pointed out, "if not for Christianity, our nation, the country would not look as it looks today. Under a common white-red flag we want to manifest these values, we want to strive for unity".
At the end of the march there was a Euro MP and a erstwhile Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Marek Jurek reminded that Polish "prescriptions protecting life clearly say that the child, at a time erstwhile he can last outside his mother's womb, is subject to absolute protection". "This kid in the name of applicable law is untouchable. If the authority issues any regulations or instructions, they are simply about breaking the law, about committing crimes. And we must defend Poland from all this today" - said Marek Jurek.
"When the authorities are silent, must talk the people" - he added. He urged that in the presidential election, he should elect a leader who would be faithful to the historical heritage of the Polish state; who values sovereign power, but besides has the strength and courage to execute it."
A millennium of Chrobry's coronation. "Religious establishment of the Polish state"
The march culminated in the reading of the Jubilee Act in millennium of coronation of the first king of Poland. It pointed out that accepting the crown Boleslaw Chrobry and after him Town II they undertook "a commitment to God and to the universal Church to defender the faith, the full state, justice and the good of the people entrusted to themselves." It was emphasized that "the duties adopted at that time constitute the establishment of the Polish State. It was noted that he remained faithful to all erstwhile historical constitutions including the last, "despite the full crisis of our civilization and national life, she did not deny them." It was noted that this faithfulness is expected from all who take work for the Polish state.
"They do not fire anyone who wants to represent the homeland, any private or organization attitudes. In particular, however, we will require those social leaders who declare their attachment to the heritage to implement them. Christian civilization and their mandate owes to the support of a convinced Christian opinion" - indicated in the Jubilee Act.
"We anticipate a clear defence of work under sanctions of mistrust of loyalty to the Polish state, and an explanation of the constitution confirming the humanity of all individual from conception to natural death, the rights of doctors and wellness care institutions to their defence, the defence in the national and global forums of the natural strategy of the family, the educational rights of parents and the defence of children from demoralisation" - the text of the act states.
"We anticipate a clear opposition to usurpation from global organizations that hinder the Polish state from protecting life, household and upbringing. We anticipate a clear, not only election and rhetorical, but legal opposition to attacks on Polish school and its educational and national functions" - read.
Throughout the march was heard blessed by Pope Francis large "unborn call".
Organizers National March of Life erstwhile St. Benedict Foundation, Coalition for Life and household and more than 30 partner organisations. The honorary patronage of the march was the president of the Polish Episcopal Conference Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda SAC, and the blessing was given by the Metropolitan of Warsaw Archbishop Adrian Galbas and the average of the Diocese of Warsaw-Prague Bishop Romuald Kamiński.
