According to U.S. National Geological Service (USGS) data, the 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit central Myanmar (the Burma). About 16 km northwest of the town of Sikong appeared, about 12.50 local time (about 7.20 in Poland). The shock outbreak was at a depth of 10 km underground.
12 minutes after major shocks, another equally strong earthquake occurred. It had a 6.4 magnitude. This is the strongest earthquake in the planet this year. The American agency warns that thousands may have died in Myanmar.
