The president of Warsaw and the candidate of the KO for president of Poland, Rafał Trzaskowski, informed the public that he had completed military training as part of the "Train with the Army" action. He besides shared a photograph of the certificate confirming the completion of the course. What is this MON initiative?


"Following me all-day training as part of the 'Train with the Army' action. Those who, like me, remember from school somewhat grotesque 'defensive adoption', will be shocked," wrote Rafał Trzaskowski on social media on April 5.

The candidate for president of Poland besides shared his impressions of participation in military training. "Useful knowledge, excellent instructors – experienced professionals with passion, and by the way super cool people – serious, but distant. It is simply a pride that we have specified professional soldiers (who besides closely observe everything that happens in the modern battlefield)" - said the president of Warsaw.

In the following part of his entry Trzaskowski positively assessed the full action, encouraging others to participate. "This is simply a large way to learn or remember many valuable skills – the basics of hand-to-hand combat, weapon handling. Many people know, for example, from scouting, how to light fire with a chair or filter water in the forest, but it is worth to refresh yourself with specified cognition – wrote Trzaskowski.

The president besides pointed out first aid classes. He pointed out that "they are incredibly useful (they are) exercises with how to tighten the ruptured artery with tactical stasis (i.e. a peculiar tourniquet)".

Trzaskowski besides noted that the skills acquired during training are useful not only in crisis or war situations, but besides in everyday life. Finally, he thanked the professional squad from the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade in Wesoła and added that he met many people active there.

"Remember – specified training can take you only 8 hours (but for those willing there are besides longer training options!), and it will give you both personally and all of us a lot. due to the fact that the better each of us is prepared, the more immune we are to any crisis as a society. That's the point!" – Trzaskowski concluded.



"Train with the Army". What are classes, where and how to sign up?


The Ministry of National Defence re-launched the task of voluntary, practical, free, eight-hour military training "Train with the Army". It is the sixth edition, which will run from April 5 to July 5 and will cover respective 1000 participants.

Volunteers will be able to enroll for inaugural trainings to be held in Warsaw, Leszno and Gdynia. Classes will be held weekly in selected military units available in different parts of the country. You can already apply for training in Poznań, Lublin, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Białystok, Rzeszów and Krakow.

"Train with the Army" is an 8-hour, free Saturday training provided by qualified military personnel. The initiative aims to improve safety and defence skills, as well as to strengthen pro-social and pro-defence attitudes.

Those who are 15 to 65 years old, who have Polish citizenship, may enroll in training in any way – via telephone, communicator, SMS, email. The military provides training, insurance and board. The training agenda and contact details are available on the MON website and the websites of the individual military units.
