Trump: USA to manufacture tanks, not T-shirts

Donald Trump said on Sunday that the intent of his customs policy is to advance home tank production and another elements of the arms industry, not shoes or shirts. According to Reuters, the U.S. president at a Sunday gathering with journalists agreed with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who, on 29 April, said that the United States does not necessarily request a "splicing textile industry", as criticised by American textile producers, affected by customs.
