Trump then accused Ukraine's leader of disrespect and gratitude for American aid. After the interview, he assessed that Zelenski was “not ready for peace”, and a fewer days later he stopped the transfer of military aid to Ukraine.
The US administration resumed the transportation of military aid and intelligence support to Ukraine in March, following negotiations in Saudi Arabia, where Ukraine accepted the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
