Donald Trump explained to journalists that he had good telephone conversations with Ukrainian and Russian leaders. He stressed that he hoped for a "full ceasefire" over the following weeks.
The Republican pointed out that he wanted to end the war for 2 reasons: the deaths of thousands of Ukrainian and Russian young people on the front and the large commitment of the United States to the east of Europe.
Trump repeated the number that has late fallen from his mouth. He noted that his country spent as much as $350 billion to support Ukraine. These estimates seem to be heavy inflated, and real support was halved.
Let us remind you, on Tuesday Trump spoke to Vladimir Putin and on Wednesday with Volodymyr Zelenski. On the table is inactive a proposal for a temporary 30-day ceasefire.
