Russia carried out a massive drone attack on eastern, confederate and central Ukraine on Wednesday night, reported local authorities, as quoted by the BBC. Among another things, civilian infrastructure and companies in the region of Poltava were damaged.
The alarm sirens besides sounded in the west of the country, in the Lviv, Tarnopolski, Zakarpackie, Volyn, equal, Chmielnicki, Winniecki and Czerniowiecki circuits.
The Ukrainian DSNS crisis service and the Interior Ministry reported that 9 people died as a consequence of night attacks against Kiev. The mayor of the city, Vitali Klickko, reported that six children and a pregnant female were among the injured. He added that fires broke out in six places, and victims may be under the rubble of the destroyed residential building.

Polish army picked up fighters
Operations Command of Types of Armed Forces reported in the morning that in connection with the activity of Russian long-range aviation, which carried out attacks on targets, among others, in the west of Ukraine, Polish airspace began operations of Polish and allied aviation.
After 7:00 p.m., the army reported that due to the cessation of Russian raids on Ukraine, the operation of military aviation in Polish airspace was completed. As added, there was no violation of it.
"The ground-based air defence and radio-location systems have returned to standard operations," we read.
Putin's Truce
Let us remind you that Vladimir Putin was to declare his willingness to halt the invasion of Ukraine on the current front line. According to "Financial Times", the proposal was made during a gathering with American envoy Steve Witkoff as early as April.
On Saturday, the president of Russia announced "the Easter truce". It was expected to last 30 hours and the decision argued "humanitarian considerations".

During the first six hours of the "large-night truce" there were to be 387 shellings, 19 land attacks and 290 cases of drone use. Mr Zelenski stressed at the time that the Russian side was inactive engaged in armed activities.
