An investigation is underway to explain the tragic accident during the water scooter competition in Wisla, Płock. The prosecution has already questioned respective witnesses and secured key evidence, including scooters, competition documentation, and track and drone recordings.
The tragedy occurred on Saturday during the 1st circular of the Polish Aquatic Ski Championships. During the race in the stockbox class 2 scooters collided. An 18-year-old player was killed as a consequence of injury and the competition was immediately discontinued. The second contestant, a 54-year-old helmman, survived. As the D.A. handed over, he was sober, and his blood was taken for further examination.
Investigators plan to initiate proceedings for manslaughter and vulnerability to life or health. The victim's helmet and suit were besides secured, and the autopsy is due next week. On the day of the accident, a number of evidence activities were carried out. The participants of the bad journey and the judges of the competition were interviewed. In total, respective people from Poland and abroad testified.
