Tomasz Lis: Razor of the National

I compose this text in a sense of fear. No, I'm not breaking the rules of election silence. I'll be careful. I fear, like most of Poland, for the result of these elections, although the fear of any is the large hope of the others.

We were promised a razor pick. But the promise was not kept. alternatively of the razor election, we have a razor pick. Very thin and sharp. We walk on it not with the charm and grace of a ballerina. And at the end of the day, we're going to fall on either side of the world, unless we hit it with a circle, which we can't regulation out.

Dancing on a razor doesn't seem like the funniest thing to me, but, well, the nation wants, the nation has. As Jacek Kuron erstwhile wisely said, democracy is simply a strategy that guarantees that we do not live better than we deserve, which is simply a political version of the folk wisdom “when you make your bed, you will sleep so.”

Humanly speaking, I realize the request for strong impressions. My vehicle has always been riding adrenaline, which guarantees strong impressions and inevitable portions of mistakes. That's what happens erstwhile you drive around a band that you sometimes run through.

I checked, there's a casino in the Grand Hotel Sopot. I, of course, advise against gambling. Everyone, and especially national, in which you play with all your wealth. due to the fact that it is not a "module of noble rivalry", but madness and stupidity, a setup in which you play for generations. You can have fun and better, and smarter.

I have the impression that the current elections are held under the slogan "you can fit, go ahead", which is something that will happen. As Smolensk tragically showed, it is frequently much better to be little bold and more reasonable. due to the fact that you can't always fit, and then there's quite a few dead bodies. There might be quite a few them erstwhile there's a full nation on board. Let's go, stubbornly ignoring pull up and terrain ahead.

For about 20 years, and since Trump with peculiar intensity, sociologists and political scientists have said that we already have post-politics alternatively of politics. The last run showed that post-politics is increasingly replacing patopolitics. Let's make a deal, so far we haven't talked about girls, pimps, pimps, pimps, sleepers, sleepovers, extortions and setups. That's new, though.

Over 20 years ago I wrote the book “What About This Poland”. It was a hit. Almost 150,000 copies sold. The main question, despite the passing of 2 decades, remains unanswered. Moreover, it seems even more complicated than it was then. Anyway, I think it's time for part two, under the working title "What with Poles". This book will make sense regardless of the result of the election. With the manager of the National Theatre, John Klata, I besides talked about the thought of writing a play about the current dramatic days that I would compose and he would expose. What I am writing, pointing out that I inactive believe that the consequence of the election more than literary material will give me a reason to be happy, which I want you.
