President Karol Nawrocki signed the draft budget bill for 2026. At the same time, he referred him to the Constitutional Court. The government provided for, among others, more funds to support seniors, including PLN 55 billion for the valorisation of pensions and the payment of 13th and 14th pensions, which will be increased. At the same time, "fourteens" will scope many in lower tallness than in 2025.

What's the 14th retirement in 2026? After valorisation will increase
Let us remind you that the 14th pension is paid in an amount that depends on the amount of the pension. The money is paid once, usually in September. The basis is equal to the minimum benefit amount and is reduced according to the "gold for gold" principle. The allowance will not be paid if it is little than PLN 50 after calculation. The full "fourteen" goes only to those whose benefit does not exceed PLN 2900 gross. The advanced limit, above which the elder will not get it, changes all year. In 2025 it was PLN 4734.61 gross.
If valorisation is as much as indicated in the draft budget for 2026, i.e. 4.88%, the minimum pension from March 2026 will increase to around PLN 1970 gross. However, the latest CSO data, which are the basis for calculating the value index, indicate that it can scope 5.08 percent, which means that the lowest pension can be around 1974 PLN. The final amount of valorization in 2026 will be known in February.

Since the threshold from which the 14th pension is reduced does not change and is constantly equal to PLN 2900 gross, this means that in 2026 the number of seniors who will receive the benefit in a lower or symbolic amount or lose their right to it will increase again in 2026. The second script concerns seniors whose pension from March will exceed the amount of approx. PLN 4870-4874 gross (the final amount depends on the established value.) According to Forsal.pl, in 2024 the "fourteen" went to 8.9 million pensioners. A year later, only 6.5 million seniors received the money.
