That's why men don't vote left

This is again a comment on James Dymek's text. Another comment that has grown beyond measure.

It's not a blog.
Why don't men vote for the Left?
How well we know this ritual. Whenever the Confederate poll has an unexpectedly good consequence – over 10% of voters or over 40% of young men – we start the same discussion again. What happened, is Fascism threatening us and what is incorrect with men/women? Today...

Once upon a time, the left was associated with expanding the sphere of freedom, breaking the rigid social and moral structures. Basically, most of these goals were achieved 1 way or another, but the momentum to fix the planet remained. Only now high-paid officials of the bureaucracy of the European Union or the state do so. They take 1 to give to others, while at the same time taking a good measure, to which the church tithe would be alms. So the game played is not a zero-sum game, the talented get little than the burden on others. In addition, the extended bureaucracy of the nanny state and the EU usurp the right to regulate all areas of the citizen's life in detail, including telling them what to think and say on all subjects.

It is alternatively hard to deny that both the new-fashioned nanny states and the EU are left-wing. besides current governments in Poland are socialist, with national shades, and they disagree mainly in the moral sphere from the Polish left. Both want power over all aspects of people's lives, central planning and subsidies from public funds only to them close to ideas and institutions.

Sometimes evaluation makes it hard to manipulate the criteria utilized by media and politicians. Giorgia Meloni has been hailed as a fascist for trying to defend the country's independency from the EU dictatorship and to glorify household values. The fascist was besides named by those who themselves implement a model of a strict public-private partnership between the state and corporations according to the thought of Benit Mussolini. Similarly, the increase in support for the Confederacy is commented on by the words, "Are we in danger of fascism?" However, totalitarian impulses are now much more common among leftist groups.

The fact that the current left does not have much to do with freedom is easy to show by example. A very strong test was the panic of covid-1984 erstwhile the solutions developed by the Communist organization of China, consisting in combating respiratory illness through the removal of civilian rights, were happily adopted. This was comparatively mild in many countries, which the Left did not like. I remember, not so long ago left-wing leaders criticized the government for their inadequate restrictions on citizens' freedom, and then the choir demanded an extension of lockdowns, bidding for each another who demanded more.

The same was actual of "vaccinations". I peculiarly remembered Manuela Gretkowska, the hot spokeswoman of universal access to abortion, “my body, my choice”, demanding internment of unvaccinated people, but she was not an exception among likewise left-wing ladies present in the media. Meanwhile, the only voices demanding rationality in the approach to pandemics and respect for civilian liberties could be heard from the Confederation. Unfortunately, the media did not study it, and she herself did it rather ineptly, making the power of influence insignificant, and the Confederacy was humiliated and ridiculed for it.

A rich gallery of examples of the left's attitude to freedom can be seen in the field of freedom of speech. I wrote about it respective times earlier, starting with the first post (here are the links 1, 2, 3, 4I won't repeat myself. The left hand, which contests so much the protection of spiritual feelings, simultaneously generates in the language a full bunch of sacred cows, forbidding certain words and phrases or ordering the usage of others, all in the name of expected protection of the feelings of certain people or full groups, Inclusion and whatever else. For example, in the TOK FM radio broadcast on abortions, you utilized the word “a rumbling person” and not erstwhile did a female say. In our case, this may inactive be considered odd, but there are countries where you can lose your occupation as a failure to conform to this language.

Recently, a powerful censorship has reached the catalogue of crimes against freedom of expression in the fight against “disinformation”, mainly on medical or climate issues. De facto any free discussion on these subjects and a fewer others are impossible. The authoritative version applies to everyone, and deviations from it are punished. And it is besides worth recalling how during the formation of the Women's Strike around 2016, rather without connection with the issue there were "climate" demands. The ladies demanding their freedom demanded from the state authority a extremist limitation of the rights of others. Everybody stay home and eat grass, it'll be better weather.

Looking at Western trends that can scope Poland faster than we expect, for example after winning KO and Left, we see that the sphere of freedom can change radically. On the basis of the declarations of these groups to date, the projections are rather clear.

Anachronic freedoms specified as freedom of speech, the right to movement, or the right to physical integrity (including informed consent to medical practices) will disappear. Even the right to choose what we eat will gotta give way to the higher good. We will only have the right to choose gender, individual pronouns and abortion and euthanasia (for all). matrimony will besides be for everyone, but adult heterosexual couples.

I am not saying that all Confederate sympathizers and possible voters are profoundly considering these topics. However, they sense force on the implementation of awakened ideas, so they intuitively choose a group aimed at opposing these trends. Young men naturally search more freedom and, in turn, "national values" give them the essential sense of rooting and community.

I have been a sympathizer of the left for almost half a century, so far I frequently buy and read the weekly Review, but the current left has again gone besides far towards social engineering and creating reality into the fashion of ideology. At 1 point, I noticed that I was increasingly opposed by left-wing ideas, while any Confederates sound sensible. possibly I just got old.
