In 1 of the last polls before the 1st circular of presidential elections the advantage of Rafał Trzaskowski over Karol Nawrocki is melting. However, already in the second round, the candidate of the Civic Coalition can number on a considerable advantage.


If the presidential elections were held today, the majority of votes in the first circular would be received by Rafał Trzaskowski – this is how the United Surveys poll for Virtual Poland, published on Friday, May 16, respective hours before the beginning of the election silence.

The vote for the Citizen Coalition candidate declares 31.5 percent. This means that Trzaskowski has a decrease in support of 1.7 percent points compared to the erstwhile survey of 7 May. Second place is Karol Nawrocki – with a score of 26.6 percent. Interestingly, the candidate for Law and Justice gained 3.4 percent points over the week and thus importantly reduced the distance to the poll leader.

The last place on the podium is taken by Sławomir Mentzen – the Confederate co-leader wants to vote 11.7 percent of respondents (a fall of 1.9 percent points). Szymon Hołownia can now number on 7.5% (no changes).

Another at Magdalena Biejat has a slight increase in support – from 6.1 to 6.7 percent. Adrian Zandberg is in favour of 4.4% of the surveyed questions (an increase of 0.7 percent points). The following places are Grzegorz Braun (4.1%), Joanna Senyszyn (2.4%), Marek Jakubiak (2%) and Krzysztof Stanowski (1.8%). The another candidates – Artur Bartoszewicz, Marek Woch and Maciej Maciak received a combined support of 1.3%.

The survey besides asked how they would vote in the second circular (1 June) if Trzaskowski and Nawrocki faced it. The results show that the fresh president would be the KO candidate and the poll leader, and that with a reasonably safe advantage over the rival.

In the second round, the vote declares 56.2%, Nawrocki would end the conflict for the President's seat with a score of 43.8 percent. The WP emphasises that the data in the poll concern only determined voters who want to participate in the election and know who they will vote for at the urn.
