President-elect Karol Nawrocki gave an interview to "The diary of Legal Gazeta". He declared cooperation with the government on circumstantial issues, in respective others he marked his hard position. On many issues, however, he keyed and avoided answers.


Karol Nawrocki said that the Presidential Palace would be open to all environments and that he realized that not only the right-wing voters voted for him.

But Tusk is simply a liar.

– That's rather a surprise, but besides a clear signal that I'm a man who can connect. I will effort not to disappoint them," he said. He stated that "cooperation with the government may not be easy" and maintained his opinion that Donald Tusk is "a liar" due to the fact that "in many cases he lied to Poles".

However, he declared that he would sign a bill introducing a tax-free amount of PLN 60 1000 per year. If specified a bill does not arise, he will propose it himself.

He explained that he would cooperate with Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish on safety issues. "There can be no unnecessary emotions in these matters," he stressed.

He added that he wanted to have a 22-percent VAT rate in Poland, the Industrial Technology Fund, simpler taxes for companies and inexpensive electricity. Where's the money from? From the VAT gap, estimated at PLN 45 billion.

Single-sex marriages no, position of the nearest individual yes


Nawrocki said that he was besides ready to discuss the Act on the position of the nearest person. To greater concessions on extending the definition of matrimony does not intend to go.

He avoided a circumstantial answer to the question of the liquidation of the Church Fund. He didn't say who he wanted to appoint as a fresh MPC member. As regards the regulation of law, he announced that he "was outraged by the situation" in which the position of judges appointed by the democratically elected president is questioned.
