Emotions in Polish politics for the next 2 weeks will be very big. According to the exit poll, Rafał Trzaskowski obtained 30.8% of the votes. Karol Nawrocki is supported by 29.1% of the vote. The difference is so small. Therefore, the presidential debate can be a very crucial event.
When's the presidential debate? On TVN24, Krasko and Müller argued about it
In the TVN24 studio, Cezary Tomczyk from PO and Piotr Müller from PiS answered whether candidates would participate in the presidential debate. In particular, Müller was not inclined to make clear declarations.
– I do not yet know any decisions on the issue of debates – the erstwhile spokesperson of the government said. “We will see what conditions will be, what will be the information on this subject and then decisions will be made.” he continued.
In particular, the issue of the rules raised large emotions in TVN24. Müller stressed that the rules must be the same for both candidates. At the same time, he stated that 1 of specified events organised by this tv had controversial funding.
Piotr Kraśko rapidly tried to change the subject, stressing that it was Karol Nawrocki who wanted to talk to Rafał Trzaskowski, and now he is trying to retreat from it. Tomczyk tried to address the subject, but Müller cut the full discussion.
– Don't be nervous, gentlemen. I know that present is simply a sad day for you, but calmly, it will be better, but not for you – Müller burned, without a light grin on his lips.
The presidential debate is on May 21. Trzaskowski wants to face Nawrock
– Rafał Trzaskowski clearly stands for debate, due to the fact that Poles have the right to measure their candidates in the debate and during the election run – said Cezary Tomczyk.
If both candidates agree to participate in the debate, this should take place on Wednesday 21 May. It will be co-organised by TVP, Polsat and TVN24.
