It is very crucial to realize that something far more serious is happening in front of our eyes than another episode involving a extremist right-winger trying, like many before him, to build his political position on human fear.

After all, we all realize it – the Law and Justice Department understands it and politicians KO, Prime Minister Tusk and Minister Siemoniak, journalists and society – that militias out of state control is simply a state without law.
When "informal citizen patrols" appear on the streets with their own media facilities, weapons no longer symbolic but besides real, with facilities (such as cars, uniforms, PR, combat rhetoric, military rituals and support of the most crucial right-wing politicians) – this is not a marginal incident. It's an alarm.
This is simply a sign of the end of the state's monopoly on violence. The time erstwhile the state could, within the limits of law and legitimate, service the social welfare of cases, straight force against citizens.
Thus, the complete impunity of Bąkiewicz's people and the deficiency of any reaction by the Prime Minister, the Head of the Ministry of the Interior and the lawyer General means that the old legal order will cease to apply before our eyes.
We are witnessing the creation, with complete inactivity of the ruling fresh threatening parallel order.
This is how authoritarian parapolitical organizations are formed: first they "protect", then they "educate", and at the end they force and recognisely "execute".
Their legitimacy comes not from the Constitution and laws, but from myths: about the collapse of civilization, the betrayal of elites and the request to fight the interior enemy, allegedly inferior to the external 1 (e.g. Russia).
There will be a fresh alliance
And since we are taking a consecutive way to the merger and most likely the common governments of the Confederacy, the PiS, Poland 2025 and the PSL – we already know that it will be an alliance that legitimizes violent force against citizens and will "discipline" them by threatening them.
In an interesting article from the last issue of the weekly "Politics" about the similarities of Bąkiewicz's "Move of defence Borders" to MAGA and Trumpism, the author, Mateusz Mazzini, puts an interesting thesis: these movements act as if they were preparing for a war campaign, not political.
If the Law and Justice Office forms a formal or informal alliance with the Confederation and the remainder of the "appetizers", specified brutal organizations will gain authoritative legal and political protection, which, in conjunction with the presidency of Karol Nawrocki, who already patronises the return of Macerewicz's people to BBN, gives an image of the utmost interior threat to Poles.
Not only will Bąkiewicz and his followers gain legitimacy, but media gloria, glory. They will be treated like heroes, which will completely reverse the planet of our values.
They'll start operating not on the outskirts of public life, but downtown. They will no longer be fanatics, they will be recognized leaders and leaders.
Today, I am betting that the next election will take place in an atmosphere of intimidation and propaganda. And I already know present that as Poland we will be alone, due to the fact that neither the West nor the US (where authoritarianism is spreading) will save a country that itself is going astray from democracy.
Russia will defeat us. But I will always remember that it was possible due to the fact that first we defeated ourselves.
