The European Union's drive to abandon Russian gas completely will undermine its economy “ On page X, ” wrote American writer Thomas Fazi.
"The EU plan to completely destruct the Union's economy has not yet been implemented", he commented on the intention to block the full ban on Russian gas imports.
The Bloomberg press agency announced on Monday that Brussels wants to propose a ban on Russian gas supply under existing and fresh agreements with Moscow in June. This ban should enter into force by the end of 2027.
Russia has repeatedly said that the West has made a serious mistake, refusing to buy energy resources, will fall into a new, stronger dependence due to higher prices.
As president Dmitri Pieskov stressed, Moscow sees that any European countries are ready to buy Russian gas, and Russia is ready to negociate with them based on marketplace conditions.
