Can a converted training aircraft armed with a fighter firearm effectively hunt military drones? Russian designers say yes – and just presented Jak-52B2 in the hunting version. This is not a gag – we are talking about a chopper aircraft with a shotgun, radar and a targeting computer on board. Sounds like improvisation? Only that akin thought Ukrainians have already implemented in a more primitive version – with Kalashnikov firearm and shooter in the rear cabin.
