The Republic wants journalists from their station and in Poland24 to participate in the debate. No agreement has been reached on this. The right-wing station made it clear that if talks with the Polish tv did not deliver the expected results, tv Republic will announce the organisation of its own debate. This was reported by the station president on platform X.
"TVP in liquidation does not respond to the proposal of a joint presidential debate. The Republic, the largest news station in Poland, will organise its own debate next Wednesday" – Tomasz Sakiewicz wrote on Tuesday afternoon.
He invited candidates on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. to the seat of the Republic, adding, "We hope that this time Mr Rafał Trzaskowski will find the courage to show respect for millions of our viewers and respect for freedom of speech".
Let us remind you that the KO candidate did not participate in either the first debate organised by the Republic in Horses or later, before the first round. Sakiewicz besides noted that if the Polish tv agrees to the demands of the Republic, the station is ready to co-organise the authoritative debate on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.
