The Programme Board wants an audit. It's about TVP coverage of elections

It would seem that for all viewers of the pseudo-information and pseudo-publicist TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info programs, it should be clear that at any time these programs were grossly violating the law, the rule of impartiality and balance, practicing propaganda alternatively of reliable information and publicity. And those who neglect to see it are possibly devoid of basic senses, including the sense of same - thinking. It's obvious, and it's not!

The TVP Programme Council rejected the draft proposed by 1 of its members, Krzysztof Luft, by 5:3 votes in favour. The members of the Council are fifteen. Where are the others? They're keeping quiet? They take allowances for attending Council meetings, so why didn't they vote? possibly they considered that “the horse as it is, everyone sees” and is not worth digging with. However, Luft does not give up, and in his task he pointed out the deficiency of transmission from the opposition assemblies, while besides broadcast all day many speeches of the ruling camp politicians.

According to reports from the TVP writer Society, she lied, manipulated, withheld uncomfortable information, practiced political propaganda and agitation behind PiS. A careful reader of this column knows these strategies and rhetorical tricks by heart. So why are there inactive people who don't get the fact about TVP? Why do any members of the TVP Program Council close their eyes to not see? They have proceeding problems and, more frequently than not, in the world, are incapable to conduct simple reasoning according to criteria that separate between propaganda and actual journalism?

The answer is simpler than it seems: they are polytruds serving the interests of their party, ignoring the mission of public media. I've already written that software councils that work like they do now don't make sense. Today, according to the Broadcasting Act, 10 members of the programme board represent parliamentary groups, the remaining 5 are citing cultural and media circles. These proportions should be reversed so that advice can be given to opinion-making environments (education, culture, media, NGOs, spiritual unions, etc.) at the expense of political groups. Only then can we talk about depoliticising public media. Otherwise, the fresh power will replace the old one, and the temptation of propaganda of the usage of the media by politicians will remain. And this counter-edance will proceed for how long, due to the fact that nobody wanted to halt it – so far –.

Changes in TVP and PR should begin immediately after the formation of Donald Tusk's government. In addition to order in the media itself, the fresh power awaits cleaning up in the National Broadcasting Council, the National Media Council and programme councils. It would be a mistake not to mention any of these elements, including leaving them solely to politicians. For 8 years the regulation of the Law and Justice has been plowed by propaganda and servillism and brought to the function of the ruling party's tube. Changing this state requires extremist cleansing and flexibility in thinking. TVPiS's leading propaganda – Borecki, Holecka and Snake – are inactive smiting democratic opposition politicians, calling them a coalition of "discord, vindictiveness and revenge," trying to argue and divide them.

There will be no place for specified anti-journalists in future public media. Normality will come back, and pseudojournalists will land where they belong – in a dumpster of past of journalism and media.
