The United States Air Force (USAF) have adequate problems with engines to their fighters, including F-35 – delays in production, failures and spare parts shortages. Therefore, they launched a marketplace review to aid get fresh engine suppliers for American military aviation. They want to increase competition in this sector in order to improve the quality of engines, accelerate their production and stimulate innovation.
