Konrad Piasecki on TVN24 asked Catherine Lubnauer if there would be a debate in Koński and how talks between the staffs are presently going. – I am convinced that Nawrocki must stand for this debate. The Deputy Minister of Education added that Rafał Trzaskowski's positions on crucial matters concerning Poles and his views are clear and regularly presented in meetings with voters. “It does not avoid hard questions and does not cover itself with generals,” Lubnauer noted. She stressed that unlike Karol Nawrocki, Trzaskowski faced journalists of all media at a two-hour press conference and answered questions.

On Tuesday 9 April, Rafał Trzaskowski published a direct proposal on platform X: "Friday. 11 April. 8:00. Honest rules, the biggest TV. I'm waiting. Courage, Mr. Nawrocki."
Karol Nawrocki responded a fewer hours later. "Mr Rafale Trzaskowski, I am glad that a fewer hours of military training led you to male decisions. For weeks I have been calling on you to debate, I have waited," he wrote.
However, he put the condition: "I have only one: all televisions are to participate, including those that cannot ask you questions at conferences. Let the details of the staff work out.".
