The French will make a ‘digital’ VBCI

The improvement of the digital model of the French KTO is intended to facilitate its service, but besides most likely in the future undertake appropriate modernisation work. It will thus be the first specified task to make the digital equivalent of a vehicle utilized by the French army. All this under the NumCo program to improve the operation process not only of VBCI, but of time and another vehicles to which the digital equivalent will be created. Work on it is expected to take 2 years based on the experience and ability of KNDS Nexter and Arquus to model and simulate. After this stage, the demonstrator will be improved for another 2 years based on 20 VBCI vehicles equipped with appropriate diagnostic sensors (HUMS). However, it is not excluded that in order to collect a better database a decision will be made to increase the amount of vehicles tested (up to 40 vehicles).
