The European Parliament has decided on the immunity of Grzegorz Braun

The European Parliament decided on Tuesday to lift Grzegorz Braun's immunity. MEPs voted to let investigators to proceed their investigation into his case. On Tuesday, May 6, MEPs voted on Grzegorz Braun's immunity. The majority voted in favour of lifting it. This means that prosecutors in Poland will be able to proceed proceedings against the MP. The vote was related to an incidental that took place in the Sejm in December last year. During Hanukkah celebrations, Grzegorz Braun extinguished Hanukkah candles with a fire extinguisher. The territory Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw is conducting an investigation into the case. The politician may be charged with insulting a group of people on spiritual grounds.
