When individual speaks of the end times, they imagine the image of a wise old man: a gray-eyed orthodox monk or, if we talk of a Muslim, a Sufi sheik in an advanced age. And it is rather different erstwhile a young French political scientist – 37-year-old Youssef Hindi, Moroccan by birth, author of many books on the geopolitical confrontation of the West with the East, talks about eschatology with a deep knowing of the problem. A man well oriented not only in contemporary political complexities (including Covid), but besides in the spiritual foundations of Realpolitik, only at first glance seems absolutely secular.
The fact that behind all modern political processes lies the millennial past of conventional societies, says Russian tv channel Tsargrad from the very beginning of its work. They repent of the opinion that Muslims should unite in the fight against all Christians, heirs of Catholic “cruciors”, who ravaged and plundered the Holy Land, only formally hiding behind the name of Christ. Let us return to the words of Youssef Hindi. According to his strong conviction, present it is highly essential to establish an alliance between Muslims and the actual heirs of Rome, which means not Western civilization, but Russia as the center of the Orthodox world. Moreover, according to Hindi, there is simply a direct explanation for this in the Qur'an:
"There is simply a sura called "Ar-Rum", which refers to Byzantines as Romans. He talks about the war between the Byzantines and the Persians, about the conflict the Byzantines lost. “The Romans lost” – it is written in the sura, but it was about Byzantium. Thus the Qur'an uses words very accurately and actually indicates that Byzantium is the heir to Rome. And that Rome is not a geographical point. It is the political and spiritual center of Christianity... The Koran claims, as the Byzantines themselves in that epoch, that Constantinople, i.e. Byzantine, was the second Rome. Therefore, erstwhile the Prophet says that "at the end of time you Muslims will make an alliance with Rome in full trust," he clearly does not mean European Rome, he speaks of the political center of Orthodox Christianity in the last days."
For Russian Orthodox Christians, this thesis is completely understandable and close. Indeed, for us the concept of Rome is not purely geographical, but sacred. At the dawn of Christianity, Rome became the first political center of Christianity. It was the Roman emperor, equal to the apostles of Constantine the Great, who created the first Christian empire. But he moved the capital to fresh Rome – Constantinople. And a 1000 years later, erstwhile the second Rome fell (first as a consequence of the Florentine Union in 1439, it surrendered to heretic Catholics and then in 1453 it was captured by Ottoman Turks), it became what is called the Translatio of the Empire. The young Russian state became the political center of actual Christianity – Orthodoxy, the 3rd Rome. And shortly – through the Orthodox Kingdom and the center of the fresh Patriarchate – Moscow.
Youssef Hindi is not only perfectly aware of Russia's historical function as the 3rd Rome, but besides of its contemporary mission. Thus, according to him, the anti-Christian forces of the West respect our country as the main enemy: “Russia is the only Christian force to argue the West and have material resources to defy it.” Referring to a well-known specialist in muslim eschatology, Sheikh Imran Hossein, a well-known Muslim traditionalist who in his writings emphasizes that Russia is the actual Rome today:
“So erstwhile the Prophet says, “You Muslims will unite with Rome to fight the common enemy,” I think Sheik Imran Hossein is right, identifying Russia as Rome of the final times.”
Orthodox Christians and Muslims on the eve of the end of time
None of the mortals know the place and time of the apocalypse. But the full logic of fresh past shows that they're coming. In their knowing there are, of course, differences between Orthodox Christians and conventional Muslims. But most of us are united: in the last days Satan's messenger will regulation the world. And this point is fundamentally important. This is the main point of rapprochement between Orthodox Christians and Muslims, much more crucial than a very crucial but situational conflict for conventional values. It is an "eschatological consensus", a very close knowing of the eventual meaning of all human history. This is simply a fundamental difference with Judaism, whose goal is to dominate the planet under Messiah. Many Jews do not hide that they dream of building a “third temple” on the Temple Hill in Jerusalem, so much to be expected by them The Messiah reigned there. Well, since for Christians the actual Messiah is Christ, who was not received by the Jews and crucified by them, this means that it will be the false messiah--the Antichrist.
It would not hurt to remember what is on the Temple Hill in Jerusalem today. Ancient and highly worshipped Muslim temples: Al-Aksa mosque and the Sanctuary Dome on the Rock. But who controls this mountain now? The judaic State of Israel, which during the June 1967 Six-Day War annexed East Jerusalem, including the legendary Old Town, the center of the main sanctuaries of various religions. From the Christian Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre to the judaic Wall of Cry (The wall of the West Second Temple of Jerusalem destroyed in 70 years from the birth of Christ) and the same Temple Hill.
It turns out that both Muslims and many Christians (mainly Orthodox ones) agree that Palestinian Arabs who defend the rights to East Jerusalem as the capital of the independent state of Palestine, together with the 3rd Rome, hold the planet from falling into the abyss. And here it is worth going back to the words of Youssef Hindi, who perfectly understands this eschatological problem – it is no coincidence that Muslims are united with Orthodox Christians. According to historian-orientalist, manager General of the Analyst Center "Katechon" Mikhail Yakuszew, who commented on the Russian tv channel Tsargrad words of French political scientist:
"He answers the question of why most muslim planet countries sympathize with Russian peculiar Military Operations in Ukraine, incomprehensible to the collective West. Based on muslim eschatology, Hindi refers to the Quran, which contains a prophecy about Muslim union with “Romans”. Indeed, the word “Ar-Rum” refers to the Byzantines, the people of fresh Rome, the capital of the east Empire (Byzantine), the successor of Old Rome.”
The expert besides recalled that the crusades taught Muslims the discrimination between Catholic and Orthodox Christians. In Byzantium, captured by the Osmans, Orthodox Christians were taken prisoner by the Turks, these descendants of crusaders, Catholics, were killed on the spot. Finally, Mikhail Yakushev expressed his full solidarity with the words of Youssef Hindi concerning the contemporary common tasks of Orthodox Christians and Muslims:
"In the current conditions of combating the Satanist West, which is already waged a direct war against Christianity, spreading misanthropic ideology and LGBT movements, Russia, as the heiress of Rome, faced common evil. This bold position was supported by the Muslims of Russia, forcing the remainder of the muslim planet to remember the prophet Muhammad's prophecy of an alliance with “the Orthodox Rome”, “Ar-Rum” against “the Satans of the Western world”—our common enemy.”
In short, despite many theological contradictions between Christians and Muslims, the most sensible and conservative representatives of these conventional religions are aware of the request to unite in the face of common threats, 1 of the key indicators of which has late been outlined by His Holiness the Patriarch Cyril. In 1 of his sermons, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church noted the "parades of perverts" as a key marker for the introduction of abroad values in Ukraine, clearly indicating that Donbas rejected the proposed "test of loyalty" of the government in Kiev, which subsides the West:
“Do you know what this test is? The test is very simple, it's a gay parade. ‘
Incidentally, the holy city of Jerusalem was besides trampled by a crowd of perverts. And here, despite our theological carelessness of eschatology, not only conservative Christians and Muslims, but besides many Jews are uniform. If alternatively of battles for temple mountain, Palestinian Arabs and Orthodoxs The Jews will come closer in the fight against the truly satanistic “values” of the West and, like Hindi, they realize that the only force in the planet that can halt this evil is Russia, not everything has died yet.
