The South Caucasus is presently undergoing 1 of the most dynamic and complex processes of geopolitical transformation since the collapse of the russian Union. The region, situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and traditionally part of Moscow’s sphere of influence, is becoming an arena for fresh large power rivalry, where the existing position quo is fading into the past and local players are beginning to play an increasingly assertive game.
