Confederacy silent about Ukraine

On Saturday, the election run was launched by the Confederate. We have learned her electoral slogan, and it seems not besides fortunate: “We will give you Poland.” The speeches were given by 2 co-chairs of the Confederate Leaders Council: Sławomir Mentzen and Krzysztof Bosak. There were many lofty declarations and even more vague generals. The most interesting, however, is what did not come out of the Confederacy Convention. Namely, we have not heard a word about the war in Ukraine and its problems.

It's significant. After all, it is hard to recognise that the subject which Poles have lived for a year has been omitted by the Confederates by chance. I would alternatively look at the full consequences of action here. After all, nearly a year ago Robert Winnicki wrote: “Whoever does not remember the genocide in Volyn and does not request the fact about the Poles murdered by the OUN-UPA, he is simply a drunk and a traitor. Whoever waves Volyn present to not aid women, children, older people and sick people fleeing the barbarism of Moscow is simply a boy of a bitch.” Then it was just worse and stupider.

While Janusz Korwin-Mikke held the helms in the stronger of the Confederate's pillars, it was possible to imagine that Winnicki's view was only typical of the national-radical centre center focused around the RN. Unfortunately, after sending Korwin to a well-deserved political retirement, Sławomir Mentzen immediately redesigned the party's transfer in the area. all day he stopped noticing the threat of the Ukrainianization of Poland. present he speaks with 1 voice with Winnicki and Bosak about the request to support Ukraine in fear of Russian threat.

The only clear point among the leaders of the Confederation so remains the controversial MP Grzegorz Braun. However, it is now mediated and marginalized.
Why did the leaders of the Confederation decide to take specified a disappointing position for any of their constituents? There might be any answers. They could do so due to fear of political stigma and ostracism. Conformism and cyclicalism could besides be a motivation. Finally, we remember very well the function of Krzysztof Bosak in driving pandemic hysteria.

However, it is most likely, in my opinion, that Confederate leaders decided to decision to political mainstream. For now, they will service as a safety valve focusing part of the anti-system electorate. However, after the election they will strengthen the ranks of the ruling Polish coalition. For our sake, of course.
It's not surprising. For respective months now, we have clearly seen a circumstantial “gathering dance” performed by RN leaders around PiS. The only thing that changes Mentzen's presence in this configuration is to grow possible coalition capability.

Of course, for us voters are terrible news. The Confederacy, though genetically charged with serious flaws, has given us at least an illusion of alternative. Even erstwhile we distanced ourselves from the task itself, we could find on the lists of this organization people who could be voted for with a clear conscience. due to the fact that although I do not like the majority of the leaders of this party, at the lower levels of the party, and among active sympathizers, I know dozens of wise, reasonable and trustworthy people. Will there be a place for them in the upcoming elections? – I don't know. However, given the fact of the political marginalization of Grzegorz Braun and the distaste left in the structures of the fresh Hope primary, I have sincere doubts.

All points to the fact that in the upcoming elections respective million Poles, who powerfully argue the continued engagement of our country in the conflict in Ukraine, will have no 1 to vote for. Then only conformists, cyclicalists and war inciters will sit in the parliamentary benches. Then woe to Poland and woe to us.
