Confederate press conference attended by Michał Waver and Marty Czech, on 2 October 2024.
Michał Wawer:
– Yesterday, during the parliamentary votes, the governing coalition from the Left through the Platform to Poland 2050 and PSL threw the Confederacy amendment to the basket providing exemption from ZUS contributions for flood-stricken entrepreneurs.
The only thing that the injured entrepreneurs can number on in their relations with ZUS is the postponement of the Zusowski contributions, which was guaranteed by the bill, not even the current one, but the Act dating back to 2011. And in practice, this is simply a solution that unfortunately is not any peculiar aid, due to the fact that that means that these contributions during the period covered by this quasi a state of exceptional flooding, these contributions to these entrepreneurs will simply accumulate. And the minute the minister's decree expires, the Social safety Office will immediately come to all these entrepreneurs, in December or January, and will rip off all outstanding contributions in 1 large rata.
We tried to prevent it. We presented an amendment that was intended to save entrepreneurs specified a situation. The government threw it in the bin and accepted the solution – from the government we will hear that they assured otherwise that they had provided an intervention. And that's the full perfidium of this situation. due to the fact that the government, alternatively of temporarily reducing the state charges affecting entrepreneurs, would like to do so that these charges would stay in place, would accumulate, the government would be doing a good drunker speaking just about the intervention provision, which we inactive do not know, the various mayors with ministers would compression their hands in front of the cameras, hand out cardboard checks and explain how many thousands they gave to each of the entrepreneurs in flood areas, and the practice would be that these amounts from the intervention provision would go to pay off. possibly not even the whole, these precisely backlogs of the Zusovs accumulated during the period of withdrawal. Grown for entrepreneurs through recovery after the flood.
So the money will flow from pocket to pocket. Media photos will be taken, and entrepreneurs will not truly feed on it. The only people who will benefit from this are officials active in this process.
The cherry on the cake is the fact that in this majority, which rejected the amendment exempting entrepreneurs affected from ZUS, in this majority they found themselves like 1 husband, Members of the 3rd Way, MPs of PSL, i.e. those politicians who, throughout the run last year, promised Polish entrepreneurs full voluntaryness of ZUS!
Now, erstwhile it came to what, erstwhile the government came, erstwhile the flood came, they couldn't even afford to give the flood victims a voluntary ZUS for a fewer months. This is the fulfillment of promises by current politicians.
The ZUS release ended up in a basket. Many another very good opposition amendments, good Confederacy amendments, besides landed in the basket. We truly did our best in our work on the floods. We tried to patch holes, we tried to seal the system, we tried to improve legislation, we tried to improve method solutions where they were flawed. It didn't substance to the government.
Everything that the Confederate had filed ended up in a basket without any discussion simply due to the fact that it was brought by the Confederate. And the effect is that the flood peculiar came out of the Sejm yesterday in the same condition that the Sejm entered. I mean, a hole, inefficient, little helpful to victims than it could be, and full of gaps that will most likely should be patched in the future.
