The Chief Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Defense, General Alexander Syrski, reported that the Russians were unfortunately continuing their attack, deepening the “sticks” that were to be caught in the lap defending themselves by Awdijiwka. After the Ukrainians withdrew from the city and the fall of the redoubt on February 17, 2024, The Russians continued to attack blindly, falling into ambushes set by, among others, the 110th Self-Mechanized Brigade, which in reverse battles delayed the offensive operation of Russians. It occurred that the Russians were trying to bypass Orliwka and exit the back of the Ukrainians, but the momentum of the attack slowed down on the Berdycze-Orliwka-Toneński's same defensive line. The Russian goal was most likely to usage the operational chance given by the Ukrainians to evacuate Awdijiwka and – virtually – to push the front as far west as possible**. It was, fortunately, successful on a minimum scale. The continuation of the attack operation was increasingly difficult. Current fights are being fought in the line: Berdycze-Semenivka-Pervomai, so Ukrainians managed to stabilize the front in the course of the conflict of the Eagle, passing from hand to hand. It is located right in the mediate of the fresh Taiwanese front line.
