The diplomats of Germany and Russia met for the first time since the invasion

Foreign ministers of Germany and Russia, Johann Wadephul and Sergei Lavrow, met in the spheres of the UN General Assembly in fresh York City. These were the first talks of the heads of diplomacy of both states since the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The gathering was held at the request of the German side.
