Russian troops conducted a massive attack on Tuesday night and morning utilizing rockets and drones on the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, and Odessa. Russian forces hit, among others, the maternity hospital, the emergency station and residential buildings, reported the authorities.
W Kiev's shrapnel of dropped drones fell in 5 districts – notified the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klickko. Many explosions and sounds of dense device guns were heard in the city, which were shot down by drones.
"In Shevchenkowska territory cars are burning. In Obołońska, drone shrapnel fell at 1 of the schools. Emergency services are on their way. There's a call from medics in the Podilski area. Stay in the shelters. The massive attack on the capital continues," wrote Klickko in Telegram.
In connection with the emergency attacks, Darnica and Dnieprovska districts were besides called for – stated Mr.
The explosions over the city were heard from about 2 p.m. (1 in Poland) to about 4 (3 Polish time); there was besides the roar of Russian drone engines, and in the sky there were red streaks flying towards them in the direction of air defence missiles.
As it dawned, black smoke of fires was rising over Kiev. Authorities have called on residents to close their windows.
W Odessa in the south of Ukraine was hit by Russians, among others, in maternity hospital. The patients and staff had already evacuated – the chief of military authorities of Odeh Kiper Odeski territory passed.
"The enemy carried out a massive attack on Odessa utilizing impact drones. There are harm to civilian infrastructure and fires. The Russians hit, among others, the maternity hospital, emergency station and residential buildings" - he reported in Telegram.
"As for maternity infirmary – there are no victims, patients and staff have already evacuated. Information on another sites is inactive being verified," said Kiper.
The authoritative then reported that as a consequence of the attacks, 1 individual was killed and at least 4 were injured. "In the aftermath of the Russian attack, there is 1 killed and at least 4 injured," he wrote on Telegram.
Residential buildings were damaged and destroyed in downtown Odessa. The administrative building of the emergency station was completely destroyed. There was a fire at the site and ambulances were damaged, said Kiper.
The attacks were commented in the morning by Ukrainian president Andriy Jermak's chief of law firm. He stated that Ukraine could not be broken by terror.
"It is time for everyone to yet admit that Russia understands only punches, not rational words. Ukraine cannot be broken by terror," he wrote on social networks.
Jermak reported that Kiev and Odessa were under attack. "Russian attacks on civilian targets continue. Kiev, Odessa, (attacked) residential buildings, parking lot, maternity hospital. The recordings will appear again in all media" - he stressed.
"Russia lies all day about its +want for peace+ and attacks people all day. Time for sanctions. Time to support Ukraine with weapons. It is time to prove that democracy has strength," he said.
