In 2024, tv Poland received PLN 1.760 billion in public funds – from the subscription of the KRRiT and as a subsidy from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage – i.e. by over PLN 900 million little than in 2023. At the same time, thanks to efficient management, the operating costs of the company in 2024 amounted to PLN 3.210 billion and were lower by PLN 565 million than the costs of the year before (in 2023 they amounted to PLN 3.775 billion).
Commercial revenues of Polish tv in 2024 – mainly from advertising and sponsorship – amounted to PLN 1,179 billion and were higher by PLN 50.4 million than the year before.
In 2024, tv Poland paid nearly PLN 100 million of bonds drawn by the erstwhile board.
The preliminary financial consequence of the Polish tv for 2024 (before audit) shows a failure of PLN 238 million. The fundamental impact on this consequence was that the president of the KRRiT blocked Maciej Świrski's subscription funds of PLN 245.5 million. The timely transfer of TVP's subscription funds would consequence in the Company obtaining a affirmative financial result.
Analyzing the current financial situation of Polish Television, it should be noted that TVP besides paid nearly PLN 100 million in bonds taken out by predecessors last year. Over PLN 75 million amounted to interest, fees and commissions on late payments, which is the consequence of the deficiency of unchangeable financing of Polish tv caused by president Andrzej Duda vetoing compensation for TVP.
