The conversation between 2 "good friends" (quote from the head of U.S. intelligence Tulsi Gabbard) showed us the dangers of the Kremlin sewn up in a truce set by Putin. The conversation lasted 2 hours, and the Russian applied 3 constituencies to the American.
The apparent cures are fundamentally poisons that Putin wants to overpower Ukraine.
Trick one. Hockey diplomacy
Trump's main nonsubjective remains the normalization of Russian-American relations. He wants to end the isolation of Russia (which has never truly worked, among another things due to Moscow's trade relations with China, India and Africa) and wash distant Putin's work for the invasion.
All the war crimes that Europe wants to bring him to trial for? Let's forget it. All offenses against global order? Forgived.
Nothing shows Trump's desire to reconstruct Putin to the salons as much as his agreeing to a Russian offer to host a hockey match between American and Russian players in the USA.
Trump agreed to it, and shortly thereafter came fierce attack on Ukraine.
Perhaps Trump simply does not care about Ukraine and his reputation in Europe. If so, the telephone conversation between Moscow and Washington can be seen as a successful prelude to normalising Russian-American relations.
However, it seems more likely that Trump simply allowed himself to be deceived by his alleged “friend”. Ukraine remains the main victim of Trump diplomacy. Nothing's been solved. There is inactive no unconditional ceasefire or a realistic possible of a stable, reasonably just peace.
Trick two. Stopping the firing of energy facilities
No wonder Putin rejected the 30-day unconditional ceasefire proposed by the US and Ukraine. As an alternative, Putin agreed to refrain from any attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure for a period if Ukraine did the same — only to order massive attacks on energy infrastructure in the Slavic city of Donbasa shortly afterwards.
Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries and another energy facilities have so far been Moscow's Achilles heel. On the day that Ukraine presented fresh Neptune rocket with a scope of 1000 kmPutin got free of the threat by proposing a suspension of energy infrastructure fire.
Trick three. Lying about the lap of Ukrainian soldiers
Last week Putin falsely stated that the attack of his troops in the Ukraine-occupied Kursk circuit surrounded respective 1000 Kiev fighters. Trump fell for it and asked Putin to spare the lives of the "imprisoned".
In its authoritative message on the telephone conversation, the Russian side now states that it will “direct itself on humanitarian grounds” with respect to soldiers surrounded in the Kurdish Oblast and spare them “in the case of surrender”.
The problem with this communicative is that there are no soldiers surrounded. Ukrainian armed forces have late made a hasty but orderly withdrawal from the supposedly surrounded area.
As a consequence of the preliminary discussions agreed to exchange prisonersWhich is possibly the only affirmative result of the conversation.
