Taiwan announces the construction of its "Iron Dome"

The head of the Taiwanese State stressed that the increase in defence spending is simply a "clear necessity to counter enemy threats". He announced that the government would propose a peculiar budget for military spending at the end of the year, aiming to exceed 3% of GDP next year and 5% by 2030.
