In Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre, the convention of Poland 2050 was held, during which the leader of the group, Szymon Hołownia, inaugurated his presidential pre-campaign. The imagination of the presidency presented is based on building a community and independence, which is to be the foundation of its activities as head of state.

A symbolic place for a key event
The Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre is simply a peculiar place for Szymon Holownia. It was here 5 years ago that he announced his first efforts for the seat of president of Poland. This time the space became the place of inauguration of the fresh pre-campania, although the event was originally planned in the historical OSH of Gdańsk Shipyard. Eventually, due to the change of the Solidarity authorities' decision, they were transferred to the theatre.
During his speech, Holovnia stressed that his run was about citizens, not politicians.
I want to be president of all Poles – he said, adding that the Presidential Palace under his leadership will be a symbol of openness.

Active function of the president in Holown’s vision
The Holovnia promises that as president it will focus on real impact on legislation, more frequently utilizing veto law and legislative initiatives. It besides plans to organise regular referendums and activities in tiny towns through the "Belveder on Wheels" initiative.
Among the key areas of his presidency, he listed a strong army, improving wellness care, supporting families through a friendly taxation strategy and investing in renewable energy sources. His plans besides included the improvement of technologies that will guarantee Poland's energy independence.

Will the PSL support?
Szymon Hołownia believes that Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish and the Polish People's organization will support his candidacy. The Holovnia expressed respect for the interior PSL procedures, stressing that formal declarations require time.
Although the leader of Poland 2050 has not yet betrayed who will lead his campaign, it is known that Agnieszka Buczyńska, a associate from Pomerania, is liable for organizing the activities.
Presidential Elections Getting Closer
In addition to Simon Holownia, in the race for the presidency they will compete, among others. Rafał Trzaskowski, Karol Nawrocki, Sławomir Mentzen and Marek Jakubiak. The left inactive hasn't announced her candidate. Elections will be held in May next year and the exact date will be given in January.
