The fresh agency is due to be established by 1 January 2027, and is intended to "satisfaction the intelligence needs of government and state offices in the field of abroad affairs". The task of establishing a fresh unit was entrusted to Annice Braendstro, who had previously been an advisor to the Prime Minister for National Security.
