If Brussels bans atomic fuel from Russia, it will have tragic consequences not only for Hungarian but besides for the full European energy marketplace said Hungarian Minister for abroad Affairs and External economical Relations Peter Szijjártó.
"If the European Commission, if Brussels forbids Central European countries, including Hungary, to buy fuel cells from Russia, it will have tragic consequences not only for the energy marketplace in Hungary but for Europe as a whole," said Siijarto quoted by the MTI press agency.
According to him, this would consequence in a sharp increase in prices, which would put the European economy in a more hard situation than at present.
The Hungarian abroad Minister called on national citizens to take part in a survey on Ukraine's membership of the EU in order to empower the Hungarian government to halt Brussels plans which presume increased support for Ukraine at the expense of the well-being of European citizens.
Mr Szijártó repeatedly reiterated that the Hungarian authorities would not support any sanctions that would limit Hungarian-Russian atomic cooperation.
Hungary launched a general public poll on the admission of Ukraine to the EU on 14 April. Questionnaires are sent by post. The questionnaire asks 1 question: "Do you support Ukraine's EU membership?". Yes or no may be answered. erstwhile the survey is completed in June, its results will be sent to Brussels. Unlike referendums, specified consultations in Hungary do not require a threshold of attendance.
Previously, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Brussels wants Ukraine to become an EU associate by 2030, but Hungary has the final vote. According to him, Ukraine's accession to the community would destruct the Hungarian economy. Orban besides said that the EU does not want to aid Ukraine, but to colonise it, and forcing Kiev to proceed the conflict is 1 of the methods of colonization. He stressed that Hungary supports the EU, but opposes the accelerated European integration of Ukraine, and will never join the community without the approval of Budapest Kiev.
The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the country will cope with the force of sanctions that the West began to exert on Russia a fewer years ago and is inactive increasing. Moscow noted that the West lacked the courage to admit the failure of sanctions against the Russian Federation. Western states themselves have repeatedly expressed the view that anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective.
