Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reported that in fresh hours the increase of disinformation activities concerning the safety of the Polish state, including the SAFE programme, has been recorded. "I have decided that all the forces and capabilities of the national defence department will fight misinformation and manipulation," announced the head of the MON.
– Over the last hours, they've intensified. Disinformation attacks, in peculiar concerning SAFE program. Specifically, the most crucial tasks of modernization of the Polish army, arming, retrofitting, building a strong Europe, or strengthening our alliances – said the Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz present at a gathering with journalists. The head of the MON pointed out the increased activity of east adversaries and the increased likelihood of hybrid attacks. “This must be countered, so I decided that all the forces and capabilities of the Ministry of National Defence will fight misinformation and manipulation,” announced Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish.
He besides added that this is not about criticism, which in democracy is simply a natural thing. – Political dispute and differences with our opponents are normal. But we are talking about a hostile action to destruct trust in the state, break up alliances, national community, European and Natovian – he pointed out and emphasized that this is calculated to weaken the resilience of the Polish state.
False content does not vanish from the network
The defence minister stated that in 2025 the technological and Academic Computer Network reported 46 1000 materials containing disinformation. Only 12% of them were removed from the network and 20% of the reports remained unresponsive. – The remainder was subject to a scope limitation or marked as a malfunction. 9,000 reported disinformation content continued to appear on the network – the Deputy Prime Minister calculated and added that monitoring is being carried out on an ongoing basis.
He pointed out that in order to strengthen immunity, in explaining lies, showing the fact and marking manipulation, all possible forces and means would be involved. Trolling, disinformation, manipulation and lie about building Poland's safety are an enemy action – said the head of the MON.
Kosiniak-Kamysz besides pointed out concrete examples of manipulation, including the claim that "SAFE disarms the Polish army" or that the equipment purchased under this program goes to Ukraine or that Poland is active in war. – Money from SAFE cannot be transferred to Ukraine and will not.
