In the Provincial infirmary in Szczecin-Zdunow, the first real-life surgery of the jump pond was carried out in Poland. 10 years after implantation, the patient underwent an implant replacement.
Patient due to advanced degenerative illness has already undergone endoproteinplasty of both jump joints in 2016. The treatment was carried out in SWESZ in Zdunow and it brought the intended effect – the pain and difficulty of walking passed.
– The standard of treatment of patients with degenerative changes in the ankle joint is inactive called stiffening, arthrodesis of the joint, or blocking it. On the another hand, alloplasty, i.e. the replacement of an artificial pond, allows the recovery of mobility, mobility. – I've been walking for 10 years, driving and working. Unfortunately, it started to break down somewhere. It happened that I was in a wheelchair, about bullets, and late even about a balcony, due to the fact that my leg hurt so much," said the patient, Mrs. Irena. – This was the first specified case in Poland.
