I do not have current information about the number of private drones in Poland, but according to the civilian Aviation Authority (ULC) data at the end of 2019 there were more than 10,000 unmanned aircraft registered in Poland, including both commercial and private drones.

However, it is worth noting that the number of private drones in Poland may be higher than that which we have given due to the fact that not all drones are registered in ULC and any users may illegally usage drones. In Poland there are regulations on the usage of drones, including the request for adequate cognition and skills, registration of drones, and compliance with safety rules.

Drones are available on the marketplace in a wide price range, ranging from respective 100 zlotys to respective 1000 zlotys and more.

For example, simple drone models available in online shops or sports markets can cost between 500 and 1500 PLN. Drones with better parameters, more advanced technology and greater capabilities, specified as camera drones or professional drones for industrial applications, can cost respective to respective 1000 zlotys.

It is besides worth remembering that the acquisition price of a drone is only 1 of the many costs associated with its use. The operating costs can besides include accessories costs specified as batteries, chargers, repair kits, as well as insurance and possible training for the operator.
