The case is straight related to the alleged 2007 ground affair. In December 2023, a final conviction was passed to convict erstwhile chiefs of the CBA, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, for abuse of power during an operation aimed at Andrzej Lepper, who was then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture.
The Court of First Instance considered that the papers essential to carry out it were falsified during the provocation. Both politicians served a short prison word and were subsequently pardoned by president Andrzej Duda.
Although Andrzej Lepper was listed as a victim in this case, he did not see her final. He died on August 5, 2011. His body was found in the Warsaw self-defense headquarters; it was officially believed that he had committed suicide.
Andrew Lepper's boy wants millions from the state. Tomasz Lepper has already sent a letter to Waldemar Żurek
Now his boy is seeking financial compensation. As Tomasz Lepper says, actions against his father had real consequences not only political but besides individual and household consequences. In his conversation with "Fakt", he stressed that he had spoken to the Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek and formal steps had already been taken.
– The letter from the lawyer went over a period ago. So far, unfortunately, there is no answer. I am very amazed at the minister, due to the fact that he felt on his own skin, which meant baseless slander and harassment by the Law and Justices," he said.
The boy of the erstwhile Deputy Prime Minister has no uncertainty as to the work of the State. As he pointed out, his father was "perfidentially framed" by public officers who were later sentenced legally. He besides pointed to a possible origin of backing for possible damages. “The Minister has the funds from the Justice Fund to pay specified compensation,” he said.
The amount of the Lepper household is high. "I can only say that we request about PLN 4 million, but I would like to discuss the details of the amount straight in the ministry," added Tomasz Lepper in an interview with "Fakt". For the time being, the Ministry of Justice has not referred publically to the case or to the content of the letter addressed to Waldemar Żurek.
