Army representatives from thirteen countries began the fight for medals of the 49th Modern Infantry planet Championship. The competition takes place on the premises of the Provincial Sports and Recreation Centre in Drzonków, i.e. in the capital of Polish pentatlon. The championship was opened by General Commander General of Types of Armed Forces General Marek Sokołowski.
In the beginning ceremony of the only military championship held by Poland under the aegis this year International Military athletics Council (CISM)In addition to Marek Sokołowski, the commander-general of the types of armed forces, Colonel Nilton Gomes Rolim Filho, president of the CISM, Gen. Div. Sławomir Drumowicz, Deputy General Commander of the RSZ; Gen. Piotr Fajkowski, Commander of the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division and Brig. Gen. Mariusz Kubarek, Deputy manager of the MON Operations Centre. During the ceremony, president Filho decorated with CISM medals: Grade III – Gen. Sokolovski and Grade II – Colonel Tomasz Bartkowiak, the first head of the Central Military Sports squad and Colonel Mariusz Denkewicz, current head of the CGM.
In this year's championships for medals in 2 formats: a classical five-shot, after fresh changes consisting of fencing, swimming, moving combined with laser shooting and obstacle moving (OCR) – and a tributary (run, laser shooting and obstacle running) are attended by representatives of 13 countries. Apart from the hosts, five-boits from Austria, Brazil, Egypt, France, Spain, South Korea, Lithuania, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary and Italy are taking part.
Polish colours in Drzonkowa are armed: St. Wrzed. spec. Daniel Ławrynowicz, St. Wrzed. spec. Łukasz Gutkowski, St. Wrzed. spec. Sebastian Stasiak, St. Wrzed. Kamil Kasperczak, St. Wrzed. spec. Natalia Dominika and Szer. Małgorzata Karbowicz. Lawrynowicz, who was the only 1 of Poles to qualify for the semi-finals a period ago in the civilian planet championship, was the best in the final. Kasperczak and Gutkowski at the championship organization in Kaunas dropped out in the eliminations. On the another hand, from the representatives of the Polish Army it was a large performance. She ran out of 4 points to the podium. She lost so much to the Italian Aurora Tognetti, who besides competes in Drzonkow. Will Polce win in rematching and at the military championships ahead of the typical of Italy?
On the first day of the event, after the beginning ceremony, the relay competitions began: a mixed relay in a tributary and a men's and women's relay in the format of a classical pentatlon, in which the equestrian competition was replaced by an obstacle course. The five-footed competition for medals in Drzonkow will end on Friday 28 September.
